Psalm 91:
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, & I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap & protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor & protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, & see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone. You will
trample upon lions & cobras; you will crush fierce lions & serpents under your feet! The Lord says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue & honor them. I will reward them with a long life & give them my salvation."
*There are more than 143 million orphans worldwide. *There are more than 800,000 children that go through America's foster care system each year. *More than 33% of Americans have considered adoption, no more than 2% have actually adopted. *In 2001, nearly 159 million Americans identified themselves as Christians. Only 127,000 adoptions took place. Nearly 50% of those were stepparent adoptions leaving approximately 142,873,000 children still needing families.

Cindy - Praise God for good news on the scan. We'll be praying for your hospital stay to be short-lived. Please Lord, get her well enough to go home soon! Looking forward to seeing you and your family. Amanda
Hey Cindy, Hopefully they will have you feeling better very soon and you can check out and start that wonderful 3 week vacation! We'll pray for that! Jackie Wilkerson
A bump in the road of life, cancer is not who I am. I am Cindy, MoM(Mom of Many) and most people on the internet know me as such. I am the grateful wife of a wonderful man to whom I have been married for 31 years. We, in turn, are the proud parents of ten children. We are homeschoolers and very family oriented. I am happy and ever thankful for my life, my home, my family, my church, my friends, my neighbors, and mostly for God's redeeming grace in my life. Although at the moment cancer is taking quite a bit of my time and energy, it is not how I define my life. I truly believe that this is a trial to be faced for gain. God can and will use my illness to His glory. Already He has shown His faithfulness in meeting our needs. I believe that He will continue to do so in a mighty way. I am His vessel. And that, not cancer is who I am.

Changes at Faithful Promises...
Old Website
I want to thank you all for your patience as well as your faithfulness to me and my family. As you know, my website has been down since early November. As it does not appear to be an issue which is going to be easily corrected I am switching to blogspot.
I have so many things to catch you up on and will be attempting to do so in the next little while. Again, I want to thank you all for your patience.
